I’m beyond thrilled to invite you to this girls' weekend in one of my absolute favorite cities in the world, Medellín, Colombia! 🇨🇴 I have no doubt you'll fall in love with Medellín’s vibrant culture, the warm hospitality of its people, and endless opportunities for adventure. I’ve curated this experience to offer the perfect blend of history, nature, and local culture—along with plenty of time to indulge in Medellín’s incredible food scene (I’m taking you to the best spots, duh! 😋) and its lively nightlife. From exploring the lush nature of Guatapé to sipping on world-class coffee in some of the best cafes, this trip is all about immersing yourself in the magic of Medellín while creating unforgettable memories with a fantastic group of travel-obsessed women 💃🏽 I can't wait to travel together! Xoxo

what are we doing?

  • Embark on an adventure to the picturesque town of Guatapé, where we’ll climb the towering Piedra del Peñol for jaw-dropping views of the surrounding lakes. Afterward, we’ll wander through the colorful streets of the town .

  • Step into Medellín’s most inspiring success story as we explore Comuna 13, once the city's most dangerous neighborhood, now a lively hub of art, culture, and resilience. You’ll witness stunning murals, and see how this community has completely transformed 🎨

  • Immerse yourself in the rich world of Colombian coffee with a tasting experience - from the mountains to your cup, you’ll learn the art of coffee-making and taste some of the best brews in the world ☕️

  • Indulge at some of Medellín’s top restaurants - each dinner will be an unforgettable experience, with the city’s skyline setting the perfect backdrop. Think cocktails, rooftops + views for days ✨

  • Sundays are for brunch and we’re heading to my all-time favorite café! Trust me, you’ll be dreaming of their honey iced latte long after the weekend ends.

  • Medellín is famous for its nightlife, so obviously we’re hitting the scene in Provenza 💃 We’ll dance the night away to Karol G and Feid, surrounded by the city’s electrifying energy which is indescribable and something you just have to experience yourself.

meet your host <3

Hi! I'm Mackenzie, AKA Girl Going Travel.

I'm creating a life filled with travel in my twenties, with no plans of stopping anytime soon. In the past year, I've solo-traveled to over twenty countries! 🤩 Along the way, I started sharing my journey online, and Girl Going Travel was born.

I've received countless messages along the way from women who dream of bringing more travel into their life, but are afraid to do it on their own, or simply don't know where to start. It's my mission to not only empower women to step outside of their comfort zones and discover new parts of the world, but to provide safe, guided, curated, and unforgettable opportunities for us to do it together.

I'm passionate about experiencing new cultures, embarking on exciting adventures, uplifting and empowering myself and others, and that is the very essence of this group trip.

Medellín holds a special place in my heart as one of my absolute favorite cities in the world. I have spent a ton of time in the city myself and that's why I look forward to guiding you to some of my favorite places and experiences here - as well as experiencing new ones together!
